Amended! I ordered wrong and apologise! Next time I'm ordering a frappacino!! We had coffee and cake, but it was lovely. I had an iced mocha with almond milk, the only tweak I would make is if it was blitzed with the ice so that the ice is crushed and mixed in to really chill the drink. Other than that, good cake - I had vegan chocolate cake, hubby had vegan sticky toffee cake with biscoff, daughter had caramel (millionaires) shortcake. The sticky toffee cake was the winner! Hubby had an americano and daughter had a carton of juice. There is a play area for little ones, and they are dog friendly which was a bonus for me because it was a post-walk treat. I'm recently vegetarian and have wanted to visit for a while, it didn't disappoint and I'll definitely be back!

Love this place! The food is absolutely amazing. It looks good, smells good and tastes fabulous! We always try to pick something different off the menu because all the dishes are so delicious. Can’t recommend the masala fries enough. They are ridiculously tasty and I always order them every time. The cakes and puddings are really good too. Always something different to choose from. The owner is super friendly and always smiley when you walk through the door. This is a vegan and vegetarian restaurant which is amazing to have on the door step. The decor is really cozy and has a cute indie vibe.

I went here for the first time today with my dad (all he eats is meat) and wow… it was amazing. Even my dad said how amazing it is!! The best breakfast I’ve ever had!! Would 100% recommend and I will definitely be going again!!

Been here on two separate occasions now. I live around the corner and this is a very convenient cafe for me. Firstly the turmeric latte is divine, do try that. Now with it being a vegan cafe expect only your staple vegan curries, chickpea, samosas, paneer and the like. Personally vegetarian curries are the best anyway. Love me some dhall, spinach and potato's etc but they aren't on the menu. There are nice flavours to sample though, very aromatic, portions are on the small side, but it's not a restaurant. It's a light bite with a coffee. As a connoisseur of rice and three in Manchester, this comes no where near in terms of value and taste, but I'm hugely proud we have establishments like this popping up in Romiley. They have a selection of kulfi ice cream which is really unique, I do recommend you try as it's really creamy and they have interesting flavours to sample. The things they could improve, a ceiling fan wouldn't go a miss as it can get quite warm, they'd also benefit from a wall mounted fly exterminator, also the seating is really odd, they have loads of space but like 3 tables, and you only need one person to grab one of those and and there is no where to sit. They'd do well to get a long wooden beam that acts as a table put across the two big windows with stools you can sit on to look outside to accommodate individuals just popping in for a bite. There's a small children's play area to keep the little ones entertained which is a nice touch. All in all though I wish them the best.

Amazing Indian Vegetarian / Vegan Cafe We visited for the first time today as my partner is obsessed with Chai at the moment. For drinks I had the biscoff coffee shake which was sensational, the coffee wasn’t too overpowering and the roast / blend choice was delicious. My partner had the home brewed Masala Chai which he thoroughly enjoyed, and the pot of tea he received was massive! (We stayed a bit longer just so he could finish it as it was that good) For mains we had the Indian breakfast muffin (vegan sausage, Indian spiced hash browns, and a bbq tamarind chutney) and the Chai Buckwheat pancakes which came with syrup and berries. I thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich, the chutney was amazing and really pulled everything together. Though I didn’t try the pancakes they were gone within minutes. Both me and my partner agreed portion sizes were bob on, we felt full without feeling overly lethargic. Though we didn’t have the opportunity to try them the cakes and Indian deli looked delicious. Our entire meal with drinks cost under £20 which I think is ridiculously reasonably priced considering the quality and portion sizes of the food and drink. (Not to mention the very quick service!) It is also worth noting they seemed to have an extensive ice cream range. All staff were super friendly, the woman serving us really seemed to care about our experience there and we were given customer service you can’t simply buy without there being a true passion for what she was serving. I would highly recommend dining here, and we look forward to visiting again.

Faultless. Actual perfection. I adore coming here and if i had the money to id be there all the time! Brought a friend today who had never been before and she was blown away and is planning to come back with her partner. There are also GF options. People who arent veggie need not worry.. you wont miss meat with a menu like this i assure you. I usually get the paneer options, sometimes a bhaji option (burger) but this time it was earlier so i got the desi avocado. Little one got a “picky bits” platter which is perfect for her. I wish there was wheelchair access so my older daughter could come but the way the building is doesnt lend itself to it. Fab play area for little ones and right by the park too. I normally come with my mum who adores it too. The seasonal hot drinks menu is amazing (though im boring and always have americanos or the occasional chai or turmeric latte)

Update April 2025: just been to Chai Village for the second time. The lady who runs it is just as friendly as I remember. Greeted as soon as I came in and made sure to say goodbye. I went for an iced vanilla matcha again which was very tasty! So much choice on the menu, I went for the Vada Pav. I wasn’t expecting two - perfect size for a lunch. So much flavour and just the right amount of spice. Can’t wait to try more food. Was nice to see the cafe so busy! After being recommended this place, I knew I had to check it out and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, the two ladies working there were so friendly. I ordered a vanilla matcha over ice and a blondie. The food menu sounded so good that I’ll definitely be back for some lunch and a chai! Lovely, cosy cafe. The matcha was so good! Dog friendly too.
